Is it possible one midi device along the change can confuse the next one? The midi data looks to be sound, but if you could hear the audio… it’s clear that something is wrong here. I’m attaching two photos - the first is with only Midi CH 4 running, and the second is with CH 4and Ch 8 (Prophet). It’s as if the inclusion of the notes that are sent to the Prophet on CH 8 interfere with Yarns properly reading the midi messages. No issues at all, but, when I send Midi to the Prophet (CH 8) in addition to Yarns, the sequencing gets messed up. It would appears as though when I send midi to Yarns (CH 2 & 4) and/or my SH01a (CH1) the system works as expected. The most common is the one below where MIDDLE C (note 60 3C) is C3 (C in the 3rd octave). I’ve downloaded the midi monitor and I’m running some tests. Computer Music: MIDI Key Number Chart There are TWO conventions for numbering keys (notes) in MIDI. I’ve been using the OT to sequence and play both my modular and P6 for months now with no problems. Hmmm - I’m not sure how complicated this issue is… and I’m not totally sure that this issue is a Note off/on thing. It seems to happen after a couple bars, or maybe when the ARP is triggered… I have a feeling that the OT is sending wonky midi date to my modular and other synths. This would happen from time to time in the past, but I’d simply stop the track and upon playing again, it would be solved, but now it seems to happen every-time. I think it may be related to the INF note length I use when playing ARPs (?), but if I am to make the note length not INF, will I lose ARP functionality? I’d hate that. Table 4.2 MIDI note numbers related to the musical scale Musical note MIDI note number C2 0 C1 12 C0 24 C1 36 C2 48 C3(middle C) 60 (Yamaha convention) C4. So it makes ARPS sound weird and messes up all the synth sounds from modular and my SH01a. When I attempt to play my synth via OT chromatically, the synth will play a note twice, when I 1) push DOWN on the OT’s keyboard, and 2) when I RELEASE the pushed down key. So it seems, that randomly, but perhaps connected to the ARP settings, the OT will send two midi note messages when trigged. So I’ve got this weird problem, which at first I thought was the Yarns module, but now think it may be the OT.
